Aww, aren’t the Blue Jays so cute, cuddly and beatable this time of year? Proving once again that Toronto is built for April, the Jays rolled into town ready to face a physically tired (15 games in 14 days) and mentally drained (Fenway series) Yankee crew… and have promptly lost the first two games to the pinstripers. This time it was Big Bart gobbling his way through 6+ bumpy innings (7 hits and 4 earned), Logan pawing himself a 2-out win and Robertson earning a 2 inning save (Mo and So given the day off by Big Triple Girardi).
Offensively, the Good Guys scored a come from behind victory courtesy of a go ahead 2-out 2-run double in the 7th by Dontchaknow. Cervelli chipped in a 2 run bomb (no hand clap delivered) in addition to Nunez and Swish serving up RBI singles as the 2011 Bronx Bombers stated their case that they are the greatest collection of baseball players ever assembled. Hyperbole, you say? Perhaps. Alright, yes. But at least it was fun for Fitz and Vig to watch the Yanks chirp the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon.
