David Robertson and Joba Chamberlain sign 1 year deals

in MLB, New York Yankees

Terms were not disclosed, but David Robertson and Joba Chamberlain signed 1 year deals today to pitch for the New York Yankees. Robertson became our 8th inning rock this year. He was the best 8th inning guy we’ve had since Mariano Rivera was setting up John Wetteland. Joba gets a one year deal even though he won’t pitch again until after the All-Star break. He actually was having a solid year when he went down. A 2-0 record and 2.83 era gets the job done. Great to have you back, guys.
